Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Dorathy Bachor, has reacted to speculation that she is engaged to Nigerian comedian and skit maker, Broda Shaggi, following a viral video of the pair.
Dorathy expressed displeasure over the attention generated by the rumours, telling social media users to stop provoking her with their comments and assumptions.
In a post addressing the speculation, the reality TV star wrote: “For someone who minds her business, you people really love to poke me. Leave me alone.”
The rumours followed the circulation of a loved-up video of Dorathy and Shaggi on Friday.
In the clip, Dorathy was seen lying beside the comedian on a bed while showing what appeared to be an engagement ring to the camera.
Shaggi also expressed appreciation to Dorathy for standing by him during his recovery from a gunshot injury, saying he would always love her.
The video sparked reactions online, with several users interpreting the ring and their affectionate exchange as signs that the pair had taken their relationship to the next level.
However, neither the video nor Dorathy’s response has confirmed an engagement.
Shaggi, whose real name is Samuel Animashaun Perry, made headlines in October after recounting how he was hit by a stray bullet in March while leaving a brand activation in Ogun State.
The comedian said he underwent surgeries in Nigeria and Dubai and spent several months recovering from the injury.
