Former Chief of Staff to Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde, Segun Ogunwuyi, was spotted at the manifesto presentation of the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, Senator Sharafadeen Alli, in Ibadan, days after resigning from his position in the state government.

Ogunwuyi was among those attending the programme, where Alli unveiled his development agenda, tagged Oyo AHEAD (Itayo Oyo), to stakeholders ahead of the 2027 governorship election.

His appearance at the event comes days after he resigned as Chief of Staff to Makinde, a position he held until his departure from the administration.

His resignation was followed by the appointment of Akinwale Akinwole, popularly known as Wolekanle, as his successor.

Ogunwuyi’s presence at the APC candidate’s manifesto presentation has drawn attention to his political activities following his exit from Makinde’s government.

However, his attendance at the event does not, on its own, establish that he has joined the APC or endorsed Alli’s governorship ambition.
