Yoruba nation agitator, Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, has attacked Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde over his criticism of President Bola Tinubu, accusing him of disrespecting an elder.
Igboho also vowed to verbally attack anyone who insults the President, declaring his readiness to defend Tinubu against what he considers disrespectful remarks.
He spoke during the inauguration of Iru Ekun in Ibadan, Oyo State, where he criticised Makinde for allegedly mocking Tinubu’s physical movements while questioning whether the President could jump like the governor.
Describing Makinde’s conduct, Igboho said the governor was “jumping like a mad man, like a frog”, adding that his actions showed a lack of respect for the President.
He also questioned why Makinde would compare his physical ability with that of Tinubu, whom he described as an elderly person.
“Zambia ex-president used about 101 years on earth. How old is Tinubu that you are now jumping that he can’t jump like you? You are a shameless person,” Igboho said.
He condemned what he described as Makinde’s disrespect towards Tinubu, warning that he would respond to anyone who abuses the President.
“Going forward, anyone who abuses Tinubu or disrespects him, I will be disrespecting them,” he declared.
Igboho’s comments come amid political exchanges involving Makinde and Tinubu as political alignments and disagreements continue ahead of the 2027 general elections.
“Seyi Makinde was jumping around like a thief and abusing Tinubu as if he himself doesn’t have a father. Anyone who wants to grow old should not make jest of an elderly person. You are nothing but a disgrace. Going forward, anyone who abuses Tinubu, I will abuse them too.” — Sunday Igboho
