The South-West Agenda for Seyi Makinde (SSACO) has accused the leadership of the Park Management System (PMS) of allegedly forcing commercial transport operators in Oyo State to buy campaign stickers and posters bearing the name of Bimbo Adekanmbi, the governorship candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM).

The group alleged that commercial minibus and Micra drivers, tricycle riders, taxi operators and interstate bus drivers were being compelled to pay ₦15,000 for the campaign materials, with those who refused allegedly threatened with a ₦5,000 fine.

SSACO raised the allegation in a statement issued on Wednesday by its Director of Media and Publicity, Bisi Oladele.

The group said the alleged imposition was being reported in parts of Ibadan, including New Garage, Iwo Road, Ojoo, Gbagi, Challenge and Mokola, among other areas.

It also expressed concern over reports that details of individual drivers’ polling units were being collected, warning that the practice could raise fears of voter monitoring, intimidation or manipulation ahead of the 2027 general elections.

SSACO called on the PMS leadership to stop the alleged imposition of campaign materials on commercial transport operators.

The group also urged Governor Seyi Makinde and relevant authorities to address the allegations and ensure that transport workers were not subjected to pressure over political campaign activities.

It maintained that political engagement should be peaceful and voluntary, without coercion or intimidation.
