Oyo Bursary: Final-Year Students Facing Registration Challenges Can Now Use These Documents

Final-year students of Oyo State origin facing difficulties obtaining the required documents for the 2025/2026 General Bursary Awards can now use an alternative approved by the state government.
The approval allows affected students to submit their duly signed and stamped Part Three second-semester course forms alongside a letter from their Head of Department (HOD) confirming their current status as final-year students.
In a statement from the office of the president of the Federation of Oyo State Students’ Union (FOSSU), obtained by Naija Metro News, the union said the approval followed complaints from students whose institutions are yet to commence academic activities.
The situation had made it difficult for some final-year students to obtain their duly signed and stamped Part Four first-semester course forms required for the bursary registration.
According to the statement, the Scholarship Board had graciously approved the alternative arrangement to ensure that no eligible student is left behind and that all applicants have equal opportunities.
Affected students can therefore submit their signed and stamped Part Three second-semester course forms alongside a letter from their HOD confirming their final-year status.
Naija Metro News had earlier reported that the bursary scheme provides financial support to eligible students of Oyo State origin in public tertiary institutions across Nigeria, with awards ranging from ₦100,000 to ₦500,000 depending on the category of study.
The report also stated that registration commenced on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, and will close on Monday, November 2, 2026.
Eligible students are advised to complete their applications before the deadline through the official bursary portal at https://bursary.oyostate.gov.ng/2026/.
