Makinde’s Commissioner Sold Official Car To Fund Child’s Education, Appointees Suffering In Silence – Oloko

Political commentator, Mogaji Abass Oloko, has alleged that a serving two-term commissioner in Oyo State sold his official car to finance one of his children’s university education in Ghana, claiming that several appointees in Governor Seyi Makinde’s administration are suffering in silence.
Oloko made the claims during a podcast interview hosted by Dare Adekanmbi and published on YouTube by Ope Forum 360 on Sunday.
The commentator, who declined to disclose the commissioner’s identity, said some members of the state executive council were facing difficult personal circumstances despite continuing to defend the government’s policies and programmes.
He claimed that the commissioner’s child had secured admission into a university in Ghana, but the appointee allegedly had to sell his official vehicle to meet the expenses associated with the child’s education.
Oloko further alleged that some of Makinde’s appointees were unhappy with the situation in government but had continued to publicly defend the administration despite their private reservations.
According to him, many of those still serving in the government were waiting for the right opportunity to leave, while some had already resigned from their positions.
He suggested that the continued presence of the appointees in government should not be taken as evidence of their satisfaction with the administration, claiming that some were merely waiting for an appropriate time to exit.
Oloko did not name the commissioner or provide further details to independently establish the claim about the sale of the official vehicle.
