Liverpool FC have officially been crowned Premier League champions after a dominant 5-1 victory over Tottenham Hotspur at Anfield, securing their 20th English league title and drawing level with Manchester United’s historic record.
Despite an early scare when former Liverpool player Dominic Solanke put Tottenham ahead in the 12th minute, the Reds responded with a breathtaking display of attacking football.
Goals from Luis Díaz, Alexis Mac Allister, Cody Gakpo, and Mohamed Salah, along with an own goal from Tottenham’s Destiny Udogie, sealed a memorable win for Liverpool in front of a jubilant home crowd.
Mohamed Salah, in a moment that captured the spirit of the night, celebrated one of his goals by taking a selfie with a fan, underlining the electric atmosphere at Anfield.
The title triumph is a remarkable achievement for Liverpool’s new manager, Arne Slot, who delivered the Premier League crown in his debut season.
Legendary figures like Sir Kenny Dalglish and Alan Hansen were among those in attendance to witness the historic moment, paying tribute to a team that has shown resilience, flair, and determination throughout the 2024/25 campaign.
Liverpool’s victory not only restores their place at the summit of English football but also sets the stage for a new era of ambition and dominance under Slot’s leadership.
Celebrations are expected to continue across Liverpool as fans, players, and club legends toast an unforgettable season.
