The Federal High Court in Abuja will resume hearing the case involving Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the proscribed IPOB movement, amid continued restrictions on public access to the trial.

Justice James Omotosho has authorised only a select group of ten individuals from the defence side to be present in court.

The group includes eight prominent SANs and two close allies of Kanu. Among those cleared are legal heavyweights such as Kanu G. Agabi, Dr. Onyechi Ikpeazu, Paul Erokoro, and Aloy Ejimakor.

Also granted access are Hon. Obi Aguocha, a House of Representatives member, and Kanu’s sibling, Prince Emmanuel Kanu. The trial, which starts at 9:00 am, remains closed to journalists and spectators.

The defence team has been instructed to file its written address challenging the charges against Kanu through a no-case submission, following the government’s conclusion of its arguments.
