The Osun State Police Command has begun investigations into the death of a young lady, identified as Bidemi Omole, who reportedly died shortly after arriving at the residence of her boyfriend, Yinka, in Esa-Oke, Osun State.
It was learnt that the incident happened on Friday night around 9:30pm, sparking tension in the community as residents trooped to the suspect’s house in Oke Esa area when news of the tragedy filtered in.
Eyewitnesses said Bidemi, who was believed to be heading for a church vigil, had just got to her boyfriend’s house when she suddenly fell ill.
A neighbour, who identified herself simply as Taye, said the incident occurred not long after the deceased got to the house.
She added, “We heard the cry for help and we all ran towards Yinka’s house. But before I got to the scene, a lot of people were already there.
