‎Ibadan-based journalist, Kehinde Ayanboade has unveiled a new series of Yoruba edu-cultural content aimed at preserving and promoting indigenous knowledge.
‎
‎The initiative is designed to deepen appreciation for Yoruba language and traditions while making them accessible to a broader, modern audience, particularly young people engaging through digital platforms.
‎
‎According to Ayanboade, the content series will focus primarily on Yoruba proverbs, known as “òwe,” which are regarded as a vital component of cultural expression and wisdom.
‎
‎

Each piece will explore the meanings, interpretations, and historical roots of these proverbs, offering audiences a richer understanding of their significance within Yoruba society and correcting the adulterated versions.
‎
‎Beyond interpretation, the project also seeks to examine the etymology of selected proverbs and demonstrate how they can be adapted to contemporary social contexts.
‎
‎By connecting traditional wisdom with present-day realities, Ayanboade aims to show the enduring relevance of Yoruba cultural heritage in modern life.
‎

The initiative comes at a time when there is growing concern about the decline in indigenous language use among younger generations.
‎
‎Through engaging and educational storytelling, the series aspires to bridge this gap, encouraging people to learn, speak, and take pride in the Yoruba language and its cultural depth.
‎
‎With the launch of this project, Ayanboade invites audiences to immerse themselves in Yoruba edu-cultural content, describing it as both enlightening and empowering.
‎
‎The series is expected to gain traction across social media platforms, contributing to ongoing efforts to preserve and celebrate African cultural identity.
