Final-year students of Oyo State origin in public tertiary institutions across Nigeria can now apply for the state government’s 2025/2026 General Bursary Awards.

Naija Metro News confirmed that registration commenced on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, and will close on Monday, November 2, 2026. Eligible students are advised to complete their applications before the deadline.
The bursary amounts vary by category. Final-year students in clinical, aeronautic and aviation-related programmes are eligible to receive up to ₦500,000, while university undergraduates will receive ₦200,000. Eligible Higher National Diploma (HND) students will receive ₦150,000, while students in the National Certificate in Education (NCE) category will receive ₦100,000.
How to Apply for the Oyo State Bursary
Interested students should follow these steps to apply:
Step 1: Visit the application portal
Visit the official bursary portal at https://bursary.oyostate.gov.ng/2026/
Step 2: Register or log in
Create an account or log in as required to access the application form.
Step 3: Complete the application form
Fill in your personal details, local government of origin, institution, course of study and other requested academic information. Ensure that all information provided is accurate.
Step 4: Upload the required documents
Applicants should prepare and upload the following documents:
- Official admission letter
- Local Government identification certificate
- Current course registration form signed and stamped by the Head of Department
- Proof of membership of the Federation of Oyo State Students’ Union (FOSSU)
- Recent passport photograph
Step 5: Review and submit
Check all details and uploaded documents before submitting the application to minimise errors.
Step 6: Save your confirmation
After submission, save or print the confirmation page or application reference for future reference.
